Installation
Prepare, layer, compact, and reopen.
Remove loose material
A hose may be used to remove loose material; remove standing water before continuing.
Place the first layer
Place approximately a 2-inch layer of Gem Patch and compact it to approximately 1 inch.
Build in compacted layers
Repeat placement and compaction until the repair is filled.
Finish slightly high
Finish slightly above the surrounding asphalt and compact thoroughly.
Reopen after compaction
The repair can be opened to traffic immediately after proper compaction.
