This Product Safety & Installation Disclaimer applies to Patcher's physical products, measurement/quantity tools, product-use information, and related support. It is part of the Patcher Terms of Service.

1. Intended consumer-use boundary

Patcher's consumer workflow is intended to assist with localized asphalt pavement repairs on private property when the exact product's current instructions permit the proposed use.

The workflow is not authorization to perform work on a public road, in live traffic, in a restricted right-of-way, on or near a utility, or in a location requiring a permit, license, traffic-control plan, professional design, or other authorization you do not have.

2. Product-specific documents control

Before opening or using a product, confirm that the product delivered matches your order and read the current:

• package label;
• Safety Data Sheet (SDS);
• Technical Data Sheet (TDS);
• installation/application instructions;
• PPE/handling/storage/disposal instructions;
• recall or stop-use notice, if any; and
• written warranty presented for the exact product, if any.

Those exact-product documents control over general Patcher guidance where there is a conflict. Do not rely on an older screenshot, cached instruction, AI response, or instructions for a different product/SKU.

3. Measurement and material quantity

Patcher estimates visible repair geometry and material quantity. The result can differ from actual conditions and actual product consumption.

Hidden voids, unstable or missing base, irregular edges, uncompacted material, drainage, loose pavement, product density, application thickness, weather, user-selected boundaries, device limitations, and installation technique can change the final quantity needed.

Do not treat a Patcher quantity as a guaranteed coverage, exact final quantity, or proof that the repair is appropriate.

4. Inspect the site before repair

Do not proceed merely because the app generated an order quantity.

Before work, inspect the area for conditions that can make a localized surface repair inappropriate or unsafe, including:

• widespread alligator/fatigue cracking;
• settlement, heaving, sinkage, edge collapse, or movement;
• loose, saturated, washed-out, or visibly unstable base;
• recurring failure at the same location;
• unresolved drainage, flowing water, or significant standing-water problems;
• suspected utilities, drains, structures, vaults, or hidden infrastructure;
• unusually deep, extensive, changing, or uncertain damage;
• high-consequence accessibility, public-road, live-traffic, or commercial-traffic conditions; or
• another condition outside the exact product's instructions or your ability to evaluate safely.

If one of these conditions exists, stop and obtain an appropriate qualified professional/public-authority evaluation before proceeding.

5. Surface preparation

Preparation requirements are product-specific. Follow the exact product's current instructions for cleaning, removal of loose/failed material, edge preparation, moisture, lift thickness, placement, compaction, curing/reopening, and any required primer/tack or other preparation.

Do not use generic Patcher guidance to override the product's instructions.

If you cannot create the surface/base condition required by the exact product instructions, do not proceed with that product solely because the app recommended a quantity.

6. Weather and site conditions

Temperature, precipitation, moisture, freezing conditions, heat, and surface condition can affect installation and safety.

Patcher does not provide a universal temperature, moisture, or all-weather rule. Use the current limits and precautions for the exact product delivered. If site or weather conditions fall outside those verified instructions, stop and wait or seek appropriate professional/product support.

7. Utilities and traffic

Patcher does not locate underground utilities or authorize excavation. If work could affect a utility or hidden infrastructure, follow applicable utility-locating and legal requirements before disturbing the area.

Do not perform the consumer workflow in live traffic or on a public road/right-of-way without all legally required authorization, traffic control, equipment, and qualified supervision.

8. Handling the product

Product packages may be heavy. Use safe lifting/handling practices and assistance or appropriate equipment when needed.

If packaging is torn, leaking, open, mislabeled, contaminated, recalled, unusually damaged, or otherwise appears unsafe, stop and do not use it. Follow the package/SDS instructions and contact info@patcher.me for product-specific next steps.

Never return a leaking or unsafe package through ordinary shipping until a safe/lawful method has been confirmed.

9. Installation responsibility

You are responsible for following the exact product instructions, maintaining a safe work area, using required PPE, complying with law, and stopping when the work exceeds your capability or authority.

Patcher is responsible for its own duties as a seller/service provider to the extent imposed by law. Nothing in this Disclaimer requires you to waive rights relating to a defective product, inadequate legally required warning/instruction, inaccurate Patcher representation, or other liability that cannot lawfully be waived.

10. No guarantee of repair outcome

Patcher does not guarantee that a localized repair will be permanent, structural, code-compliant, suitable for every site, or achieve a particular service life. Repair performance depends on the underlying pavement/base, drainage, traffic, preparation, product, weather, compaction, installation, and other site-specific conditions.

11. When to seek professional help

Stop the consumer workflow and seek qualified professional/public-authority help when the work involves:

• structural/base/subgrade failure;
• unresolved drainage;
• utilities or hidden infrastructure;
• public roads or live traffic;
• permits, code, accessibility, or traffic-control requirements you cannot independently satisfy;
• widespread, recurrent, unusually deep, unusually large, unstable, or uncertain pavement failure;
• a product condition/recall you cannot safely evaluate; or
• any condition where proceeding could create a material safety risk.

12. Emergencies

Patcher is not an emergency service. For an injury, dangerous spill/exposure, immediate traffic hazard, suspected utility emergency, fire, or other emergency, stop using the app and contact the appropriate emergency service, utility, poison/safety resource, or public authority.
